UNOH is a member of the GoArmy Ed and AI portal. All of our programs are VA approved. UNOH is authorized to certify students who qualify for the Post 9/11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, (Active Duty/ Selected Reserves) and Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program, as well as those who qualify for VA Vocational Rehabilitation.
The UNOH Military Relations Department started in 2001, provides assistance to all military, veterans, and spouses and assists with scheduling, financial aid, and transfer of credits. UNOH accepts the Joint Services Transcript and CCAF, and honors credit equivalencies defined by the American Council on Education (ACE) for military course work, experience, and testing programs, such as CLEP and DANTES.

To show our appreciation to the men and women in uniform, the University of Northwestern Ohio meets the military cap of $165 per credit hour for online and traditional classes in our College of Business, Occupational Professions, and Health Professions. UNOH Military Scholarship available for veterans and active duty service members includes 10% off tuition only in the College of Applied Technologies and students must maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Folds of Honor Foundation Scholarship - The unique scholarships awarded by the Folds of Honor Foundation are intended to offset the rising costs of post-secondary tuition and fees, textbooks, room and board, course-required tools, approved tutoring, and other school-related expenses. Interested individuals should complete and submit an application, as well as satisfactory evidence that they qualify according to the existing eligibility requirements. Upon award, scholarships are dispersed directly to the educational institution. The application time period is February 1 through March 31. The deadline to submit an application is midnight on March 31.
Pat Tillman Foundation - The Tillman Military Scholars program supports our nation's active and veteran service members and their spouses by removing financial barriers to completing a degree of choice. The scholarships cover not only direct study-related expenses such as tuition and fees, but also other needs, including housing and child care. Since the program's inception, the Pat Tillman Foundation has invested over $2.2 million in financial support. These scholarship funds are just a portion of the Tillman Military Scholar experience which also focuses on guiding an engaged community and providing essential resources that empower Scholars to serve and lead in their local communities and ease the transition from military to civilian life.
Withdrawal - UNOH offers special circumstance extensions or withdrawals for students who find themselves deployed or sent on military mission assignments without computer access after starting a class or classes. Any service member who is eligible for a special extension or withdrawal is required to contact the course instructor(s), and the Military Relations Department at (419) 998-8437 or email@example.com when deployment or other circumstances will make it impossible to complete the coursework within the scheduled time frame.
