Student Achievement

Retention Rate

As reported in the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), as of October 15, 2017, the retention rate for first-time students who are seeking bachelor degrees is 63% for full-time students and 50% for part-time students. This data reflects students who began their studies in Fall 2015 and returned in Fall 2016.

About this information

This data only reflects bachelor degree-seeking students.  82 % of the UNOH student population in this cohort are associate or diploma-seeking students and are therefore not counted in the IPEDS retention rate.  If all credential-seeking students are counted, 80% of students attending UNOH on October 15, 2015, returned or completed their credential by October 15, 2016.

Graduation Rate

As reported in the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), as of October 1, 2017, 1,424 students started in the first-year student cohort for fall of 2010. 782 (55%) of these students have graduated within normal time from UNOH.

About this information

This data reflects the graduation/completion status of students who enrolled during the specified year and for whom 150% of the normal time-to-completion has elapsed. This information is provided as required by the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, and the Student Right-to-Know Act.

While reviewing this information please note:

  • This report includes first-time, full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students as measured during the normal fall census.
  • The graduation/completion rate is based on attendance that equates to 150% of the length of the program. For example, six years for a bachelor's degree or three years for an associate's degree.
  • We have elected not to report our transfer-out rate because our university's mission does not include providing substantial preparation for students to enroll in other institutions.
  • The graduation/completion rate does not include students who left the school to serve in the armed forces, or official church missions, or in the foreign service of the federal government.
  • Students who died or were totally and permanently disabled are also excluded.

Questions related to this information should be directed to the Registrar's Office at lkorzan@unoh.edu.
