UNOH Delays and Cancellations Policy

When conditions warrant, the University of Northwestern Ohio may delay or cancel classes. The University attempts to publish any delay or cancellation announcement by 6:30 a.m. for day classes, by 4 p.m. for evening classes, and by 9 p.m. for College of Applied Technologies’ early morning classes.  To receive announcements, register for Racer Alerts, check the Campus Status on the website, or call the voicemail box at (419) 998-9689.

If you have not already done so, sign up for the Racer Alerts emergency text messaging notification system. It is designed to instantly reach cell phones and other mobile devices when an urgent campus situation needs to be communicated. In the event of an emergency, a text message will be sent to the mobile number and/or e-mail address registered with the system. Register for Racer Alerts through the UNOH portal at https://my.unoh.edu.

The following class schedule should be used in case of a school delay

College of Applied Technologies

College of Applied Technologies classes will begin at 10:00 a.m.. For College of Applied Technologies' business classes: Please report to your first scheduled business class at 10:00 a.m.; from there all classes run on half of the scheduled time.

Colleges of Business, Occupational Professions, and Health Professions

Section 1 (normal 8:00 a.m. class) starts at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 11:00 a.m.
Section 2 (normal 9:45 a.m. class) starts at 11:15 a.m. and will end at 12:15 p.m.
Section 3 (normal 11:30 a.m. class) starts at 12:30 p.m. and will end at 1:30 p.m.
Section 4 (normal 1:15 p.m. class) starts at 1:45 p.m. and will end at 2:45 p.m.

Please do not call the University directly. If classes are in session but you cannot make it in, College of Business, Occupational Professions, and Health Professions students need to talk to their professors on their first day back; College of Applied Technologies' students need to call and leave a message for their instructors.
